For this project I worked closely with a company that is associated with Social Services to create a logo that could convey what the company does and where it is located. The client wanted to emphasise that they are mainly based within the Isle of Thanet and so to portray this I used the shaping of the Isle to border the logo effectively capturing the elements within.

I then spoke with the client and learnt that they wanted to use similar elements from their previous logo in order to show a friendliness and togetherness and so in order to do this I used hand icons to fill the image and border it by using the Isle shape as a clipping mask. There was multiple different designs in various colours to ensure that the client could choose a idea that would fit them perfectly. I tried to ensure that each colour palette would only connote positive feelings, for example in the designs below I have used reds to portray love and passion and pinks to show a caring and nurturing nature whilst also using neutral tones to keep a balance and emphasise a calmness within the business and its meaning. I also did two different designs, one with a white background, one without, to ensure that the client would be able to use it on any background and not loose legibility.

After handing all of the designs to my client they eventually chose the idea to the right and they have used it within their business that is shown to and helps multiple people on a daily basis.
